About Me and My Hounds

I am a writer, accountant, and an assistant trainer for reactive dog classes. I share my life with two whippets, who are half-siblings and a study in contrasts. Zoe is my peaceful, gentle, and steady girl. We just started doing obedience work as a way to have one-on-one time together. Zephyr is my goofy, reactive, noise phobic boy, who has a stellar nose for nose work. Through them I have learned how to live a life filled with laughter and to find joy in the simple things. 

Like many who have challenging dogs, my interest in dog behavior started with Zephyr and has become kind of an obsession as I try to learn why he does what he does. I learn about dogs, and the whippets teach me about life.
